The UK’s first week sales of Hogwarts Legacy were reported to be 80% higher than those of Elden Ring.

According to GamesIndustry.biz. The latest Harry Potter game comfortably took the number one spot on the charts, based on GfK data for physical sales. Of the copies sold, 82% were for the PS5 and 18% for the Xbox Series X. It’s worth noting that these figures don’t include digital sales, as Xbox’s digital share is usually higher due to the popularity of the digital-only Xbox Series S.

This marks the best-selling week for any Harry Potter game released to date, surpassing even the second week of sales for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The physical sales of Hogwarts Legacy were even 2% higher than the previous record, before taking digital sales into account.

Meanwhile, God of War Ragnarok held strong at number two, while Dead Space dropped to seventh place.
